Mila-Grace's Nursery

March 10, 2020

I was beyond excited to have a little girl. I have always dreamed of showing up to dance class and seeing her in a tutu. On the other hand, I am not a pink loving girl mom. Personally, I absolutely love neutrals, everything in my house is neutral. I wanted to keep her room subtle but also girly.

When it came to painting Mila's nursery I decided to do an accent wall in dark blue with these beautiful flowers from Wayfair. They make a statement and were very easy to put on the wall. The flowers are very forgiving, we replaced them a few different times. They come in separated pieces including the leaves, I would advice mapping out your flowers before you start placing. They do say that they can be completely removed and reused if you desire, although I have not attempted this yet.

I wanted a fairly large sign with her name on it, I decided on a custom-made wood sign from 417 Designs + Threads. The size of the sign is 18x36, I love the statement wall we created. With the rest of the space I kept everything fairly neutral, with a touch of light pink and dark blue here and there. Even to this day, Mila-Grace’s room still has a “perfect” feel to me. Although we recently switched out her dresser for a wooden play kitchen from Melissa and Doug as she turns into a toddler.

Below I have linked some of the pieces we used. All of the products have lasted, and are great quality.
